In the heart of bustling Buenos Aires, MEM Interiors was entrusted with transforming a high-rise condominium into a serene, family-friendly retreat. Designed for a dynamic household seeking balance between everyday function and elevated comfort, this remodel blends warm materials, thoughtful textures, and bespoke detailing to create a grounded yet refined urban residence.
Natural wood floors anchor the space with warmth and movement, inviting barefoot comfort and connecting each room with an organic flow. Along the main living wall, textured stone cladding adds quiet depth and a sense of permanence, complementing the soft palette while introducing a subtle contrast against the urban skyline just beyond.
At the heart of the open-plan layout, a custom-designed area rug unifies the dining and living zones, offering both visual continuity and acoustic softness. The layout was intentionally kept open, allowing light to travel uninterrupted while offering flexibility for everyday life and casual gatherings.
A treasured Roche Bobois sofa, already part of the family’s collection, was seamlessly integrated into the new design—its sculptural form celebrated rather than replaced. To further elevate this space, MEM Interiors selected Lelièvre’s limited-edition anniversary fabric for custom curtains, framing the terrace views in soft, luxurious folds. These curtains subtly echo the tones of the interior while drawing the eye outward toward a landscape-designed terrace, creating a calming dialogue between indoors and out.
This project reflects MEM Interiors’ philosophy: honoring what already holds meaning while elevating daily living through intentional design. The result is a space that supports a busy lifestyle without sacrificing stillness, beauty, or soul—a place where modern family life unfolds gracefully above the city’s rhythm.
