Ocean Loft Interior Design

This project marks the second residence MEM Interiors has designed for a longstanding client—a dynamic woman whose life blends the worlds of politics, entrepreneurship, and an active social calendar. Her schedule is fast-paced, but her home needed to offer something else entirely: calm, clarity, and a deep connection to place.

Located in the heart of a cosmopolitan city, this loft overlooks the ocean, with sweeping views of the beach below and skyline beyond. The design draws inspiration from both worlds—urban energy and coastal serenity—merging them into a space that feels refined yet grounded.

Soft textures, organic materials, and a quiet palette were chosen to mirror the fluidity of the sea and soften the edges of city living. Light moves gently through the open-plan layout, while each room is framed to celebrate the ever-changing horizon just outside.

Every piece of furniture was custom-designed for the client’s immediate needs—both functional and aesthetic. From sculptural seating that invites conversation to a tailored workspace that supports her demanding schedule, the interiors were crafted to reflect not only her lifestyle, but also her need for restoration and personal space.

This residence is a sanctuary of balance—a minimalist, coastal-inspired retreat designed to support a woman who moves through the world with purpose and presence. As with all MEM Interiors projects, the design is a reflection of the client, the landscape, and the life unfolding within it.
